Sharon Lynn Miner 81, was reunited with her Heavenly Father, family and friends on September 6, 2021. Sharon was born on August 18, 1940 in Lethbridge, Alberta Canada to Thomas and Bessie Pratt. 

Sharon grew up enjoying family vacations, swimming and horseback riding. She starred in school and community plays. She loved dancing in her teenage years and was crowned a Gold and Green Ball queen. She graduated High school in June of 1958.

Sharon moved to Provo, Utah in 1962 to attend Brigham Young University. While living in Provo she met Ernest Don Miner and fell in love. They were married in the Manti, LDS Temple on May 20th 1966. They made their first home in Orem, Utah and then Moved to American Fork where they have resided for the past 50 Years. They were blessed with 3 wonderful daughters. 

Her hobbies included; crafts, reading and sewing. Many hours were spent at her sewing machine making doll clothes, dresses for her daughters, quilts for gifts and donations, and heart pillows for cancer patients, she herself being a cancer survivor.

Sharon served in many church callings. Her favorite and most long served was librarian and primary teacher. Sharon and Don served an LDS mission as shift coordinator for the Provo, Utah Missionary Training Center for two and a half years. When she retired from working, she “called” herself on a mission and planned her week around attending the temple two or three days. She also found great joy in donating to missionaries.

In 2019 Sharon was recognized for her 35+ years of volunteer work at Forbes Elementary and received the Spirit of Excellence Award from Alpine School District and was recognized by Fox 13 for this award. She is loved dearly by teachers and students whose lives she touched in her many years of service. 

Sharon is survived by her husband Don Miner of 55 years. Daughters, Terelyn, (Greg), Marnie (Chad), Shalyn (Dustin) and her sister Judy. Eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She is proceeded in death by her loving parents, her brother Tom and her sister Joan. 

A graveside service will be held Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 11:00 am at the American Fork City Cemetery. A memorial luncheon will be held that afternoon from 2:00-4:00 pm at the American Fork 15th ward church at 455 East 300 North in American Fork, Utah, where those whose lives were influenced by Sharon can share their condolences and favorite memories.
