Jason John Johnston

1971 ~ 2021

Our husband, father, brother, favorite uncle Jason John Johnston of Cedar Hills returned home to his Heavenly Father on October 3, 2021.

Jason was born in 1971, to John (Jack) Raymond Johnston and Charlotte Lynne Johnston in Santa Monica, California. He was the 2nd of 6 children and was dearly loved by his parents and siblings. Jason spent his early years growing up in and around Agoura Hills, California where he lived for 19 years. He enjoyed working on cars, building model rockets and airplanes playing football and family trips to the cabin.

After he graduated from High School, Jason Served a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints to Cleveland, Ohio. During his two-year mission he managed his dyslexia by reading the Book of Mormon every day.  Upon returning home from his mission, he moved to Utah to attend college. Utah is where he met his sweetheart Tawnie and they were married on June 2, 2001, in the Manti temple for time and all eternity. He loved Tawnie dearly, she was his best friend and loving partner.  Together they had 5 children Ashlie, David, Jed, William, and Aubrie. His family was his pride and joy.

Jason spent the last 15 years building a business named CDS Trucking. He enjoyed the trucking industry and found great pride in building a business and providing for his family. Jason worked long hours making his business successful and building a good name for himself. He was admired by many in the Trucking Industry.

Jason loved football and spent a lot of time watching and teaching his boys how to play.  This was one of his greatest joys. He also enjoyed boating, fishing, shooting guns, 4-wheeling, yearly Moab trips and visiting family in St. George and California. Jason enjoyed the Boy Scout program and was an Eagle Scout. He instilled this in his 3 boys, and this was something they enjoyed together.

Jason is survived by his wife Tawnie and five children Ashlie, David, Jed, William, and Aubrie. His parents Jack and Lynne Johnston and his 5 siblings Jennifer Johnston, Jed (Amy) Johnston, Julie Johnston, Jill (Eric) Lalliss, Joseph Johnston and many nieces and nephews.

Jason is greatly loved and will be missed by all his family and friends. While those left behind are
