Barbara, better know as Barbie was the youngest child born to James Darel and Nancy Ann Burnett Larsen.

Barbie was born in Carson City, Nevada and raised in Tahoe Vista, Nevada, where she became a first class Girl Scout and developed her love for sun tanning at the beach.

Barbie graduated from North Tahoe High School. In high school she was a cheer leader and the school’s mascot in the band and lead the homecoming parade on horseback with her best friend, Kathy Boss, know as “Auntie Kathy” to Barbie’s children.

Barbie graduated from BYU with a degree in Marketing.

Barbie in later years was involved in AA, where she made a positive impact in countless lives.

Barbie is survived by her mother, Nancy, her brother Jimmy and her four children, Joshua, Tyler, Jared, and her favorite child and only daughter Sadie. Each of her children were blessed with her Tahoe blue eyes.

Barbie passed away from stomach complications on February 16, 2023, having been 8 years sober, with her children and mother by her side holing her hand.

Barbie’s memorial service will be held on Monday, February 27, 2023 at 7:00 pm in the Cedar Hills Golf Course Clubhouse, located at 10640 North Clubhouse Drive, Cedar Hills, Utah 84062. Barbie’s family will accept guests from 5:30-7:00 pm prior to her memorial service. In lieu of flowers the family is seeking donations via Venmo, @teamholgreen
