Royce Larry Hermansen
1937 ~ 2023
Royce Larry Hermansen, 86, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 18, 2023 in Provo, Utah, surrounded by his family.
Larry was born on March 3, 1937 in Logan, Utah, to Royce Deray and Grace Hendricks Hermansen.
Larry married his sweetheart Carolyn Child on June 24, 1958 in the Salt Lake City Temple and were married for 65 years. They were blessed with six children who all love and adore him. Larry graduated with an engineering degree from BYU. He worked for and retired from Hercules.
Larry enjoyed gardening, puzzles, dining out, coin collecting, and was an avid BYU fan. He especially cherished time with his family. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Larry loved working at and attending the temple, doing family history work, serving as a Bishop at BYU, and being a missionary in Raleigh North Carolina with his sweetheart—fulfilling one of his greatest desires.
Larry is survived by his wife, Carolyn; his six children: Lori Tolbert (Rudy), Julie Hermansen, Craig (Leslie) Caralee Walker (Laren), Chris (Sheri) and Amy Oxborrow (Corb); 28 grandchildren, and 36 great grandchildren. He anticipated a joyous reunion with his parents, and a grandchild, Emily, and great grandchild, Avery who preceded him.
