Freda Alice Grace Collins known to many as Pinkie, passed away December 8, 2024 in Millcreek, Utah. She was born on September 6, 1957 in Moto’otua Apia Samoa to Anthony Si’ilata Su’a Collins and Easter Ditch Fuga Crichton. She married Gordon Thomas of Salt Lake City, Utah on September 11, 2022.
Freda was raised in Pago Pago American Samoa. After graduating Samoana High School her and her parents moved to Wahiawa, Hawaii. Then later to San Bernadino, California until moving to West Jordan, Utah. Freda loved her hometown fautasi boat of Aeto from Pago Pago, American Samoa. The 49ers, volleyball and especially crossword puzzles. She also loved to volunteer and she did so for many years at the Desert Industries in West Jordan, Utah.
Survived by: her siblings – William Collins, Rosalie Collins-Soliai and Esther Collins. Along with many loving nieces, nephews and grandnieces and nephews whom she cherished and loved as her own.
Preceded in death by: her husband Gordon, her parents Anthony and Easter Collins and her baby brother Michael Robert Anthony Collins
Services for Freda will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024 with Family Service starting at 8:00 am followed by Bishop’s Service at 10:00 am at the Eagle Mountain 14th Samoan Ward Chapel, located at 2011 East Oquirrh Ranch Parkway, Eagle Mountain, Utah 84005, Interment will follow services in the West Jordan City Cemetery, located at 7925 South 1300 West, West Jordan, Utah 84088. There will be a Luncheon to follow services at the Eagle Mountain 14th Samoan Ward Chapel, located at 2011 East Oquirrh Ranch Parkway, Eagle Mountain, Utah 84005.
We would like to thank all our friends and families who have been there for us during our time of mourning, those who have donated to funeral costs and also we would like to thank Shawn and everyone at Warenski Funeral Home for all their care and support.
