Pamela Christensen Thomas

1954 ~ 2024

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Pamela Christensen Thomas, passed away on March 4, 2024 in Lehi, Utah, at the age of 69.

She was born on March 15, 1954, in Provo, Utah. to William (Bill) and Georgia Christensen.  The second of four children.  She graduated from American fork high school in 1972 and started a family.

Pamela was a member of the Alpine Country Club and had a passion for golf.  She enjoyed organizing tournaments with her friends and playing in the club championship each year.  She loved to travel and see new places and try new things.  She loved to cook for her friends and family, trying out new recipes. Her warm and inviting nature made everyone feel welcome at her frequent backyard BBQs and holiday celebrations.

Pamela worked for the Alpine School District as a school bus driver, where she cherished the daily interactions with the children.  Listening to their stories and forming connections with each one.  She had an opportunity to drive a group of kids to the closing ceremony of the 2002 Winter Olympics.  That was one of the highlights of her job.

She leaves behind her husband of nearly 40 years, Donald Gary Thomas, her children Amiee (Nolan) Wootton, Randy (Tralaye) Matthews, and Shawn Thomas, her siblings Gary Christensen and Karen (Steve) Floyd, her grandchildren Cason, Jayde, Jerzy, Conner, and Kole, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cherished friends. Pamela was preceded in death by her parents William (Bill) and Georgia Christensen and her sister Jill Erekson.

A celebration of Pamela’s life will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Holbrook Farms Ward Chapel, located at 2482 North 3130 West, Lehi Utah where family and friends will gather to share memories and stories of her. Pamela’s legacy of kindness, hospitality, and love for life will be remembered by all who knew her.
